What’s your favorite location on campus that’s not on our tour? I absolutely love Cannon Memorial Chapel on campus and could stare at it all day. There is a garden off to the side that I love to sit at when I need a break. I also got married at the Chapel, so maybe I'm biased!
As a Richmonder, what’s your favorite restaurant in the city? My favorite food is French fries, so here are my top French fry stops: Burger Bach, Jack Brown’s (sweet potato fries with extra Jack Brown's sauce), and Mosaic.
Where on campus do you feel most energized? My favorite days on campus are definitely our admitted student events, Experience Richmond. I love to see all the excited future Spiders and the energy across campus is amazing. The University of Richmond is such a special place and I love being able to share that with incoming Spiders. We hope to welcome you at an Experience Richmond someday soon!
Favorite music genre? I don't really have a favorite music genre- I like a little of everything!
If you could go back to college and major in a different subject, what would you pick? I'm not sure that I would necessarily change my major, but I would put a lot less pressure on myself to pick the "perfect major" because many times it doesn't matter!
What advice would you give to students going through the college search process? Make some lists! I'm a firm believer in a good list, and feel they're very fitting for the college application process. I encourage you to make lists about the top things you are looking for in an institution. Make a list of schools that you want to apply to (not too many… trust me, you do not want to do that to yourself). Make a list of your unique stories, characteristics, or talents to help you decide what to write for your college essays. A list of application deadlines is always helpful, too. Happy list making!
