Alumni Interviewers are assigned opportunities to conduct virtual or in-person, non-evaluative Spider Chats with prospective juniors and seniors. Spider Chats are conducted between June 1 and November 1 every calendar year.

College Fair/General Volunteers represent Richmond at local college fair events. General Volunteers also participate in regional and local receptions for admitted students, conduct outreach to parents/guardians of admitted students, and send congratulatory letters to admitted students from their high school alma mater.

Potential Interviewers have previously indicated their interest in conducting Spider Chats, but have not completed the required training exercise. Potential Interviewers and other volunteers that wish to enroll as Alumni Interviewers must review the Spider Chat manual and complete the required training exercise.

Green Choice

In the interest of conservation, the annual kickoff letter and updated paper University of Richmond brochures and viewbook will no longer be mailed to volunteers. Instead, PDF versions of these materials will be available on our training website. Paper materials will still be mailed to volunteers when they have registered to cover a college fair.
